Movies I've watched this past weeks Pt. 1.

Reincarnated (2012): being a late fan of Snoop Dogg and all the smoke out world he had been creating is harsh man, you got used to the Gangsta style and the bitches and blunt talk, so the first time my hubby (Kuleshov Creativos) and I heard about it well let`s say I didn't quite understood why he made this film, but as the universal mojo says: try it at least once, and so I did, and We came around this recording experience most of all the movie is about documenting the work behind an album, a Snoop Motherfucking album, so Snoop Dogg became the Lion and in Jamaica that's just the swag he vibes there, you can see a Major Lazer guy producing and creating, the drum guy from The Police, and plus you get to hear about Rastafarian traditions, a lot of ganja and a lot of reggae music, prays and beats. Is a VICE produce film so you know what you are getting into.

Tales from the Darkside (1990) by John Harrison: Sir Harrison was the 1st Asst. Director for George A. Romero, that been said, this movie is fantastic, I mean you have Deborah Harry (wink to my friend Irvin Ele who adores this woman) as an evil witch about to ingest a kid, and the in-between tales written by: Arthur Conan Doyle, Michael McDowell, Stephen King and George A. Romero. Plus you have Steve Buscemi so it doesn't get any better than this.

Life After Beth (2014) by Jeff Baena: Basically my boyfriend and I watched this movie because Aubrey Plaza, and well it ended up to be a decent zombie movie, but too much of a chick flick. Still is a good sunday movie.

Silent Hill (2006) by Christophe Gans: I assumed right when I was watching it that the video game (1999) was first and infinitely better than the movie, and I made no mistake, don't get me wrong the movie isn't that bad, but is too faithful to the video game and that made it less impressive. Even thou I enjoyed it a lot.

Somm (2012) by Jason Wise: This is a lovely documentary on four sommeliers about to present the Master Sommelier exam, which is almost impossible to pass. The film get you right a way, you find the work and awkwardness that involves this noble profession, and the abilities that you must have to taste (blind) wine and identify; region, vintage, and else. I loved this film and the way is told and develops, hope you get a chance to see it (a wink to Erick Plata wine pro  )

Sharknado and Sharknado 2 (2013-2014) by Anthony C. Ferrante: First of all let me explain this is a TV-Movie, that meaning: is a movie planned in series for television. After that brief introduction, let me say this TV-Movie is some of the finest B-pseudo movie humor you can get this days, and so watching a tornado picking up mixed sharks (not making a difference what type) that kill people and destroy villages and cities is hilarious. You will laugh for sure i mean a TORNADO OF SHARKS, and yes, if you want more there's the second part with the same Beverly Hills 90210 guy with the ridiculous jacket.

Hide and Seek (2005) by John Polson: Well, this is kind of rare, because you have pretty decent actors playing the main roles, there it is Robert De Niro being a freaky dad, Dakota Fanning (child) scary as always, and some other decent actor, but damn the plot os booooring, and the end is predictable and cheesy for a thriller.

Nightbreed (1990): A Clive Barker movie world full of monsters and creatures and cool tag lines, cynical jokes and evil humor, that plus David Cronenberg acting.

A Dirty Shame (2004) by The Great John Waters: This movie served a noble purpose, introducing Montserrat Muñoz González to the world of John Waters and a good justification to start talking about Divine and all the great cinema they did together, even when this particular movie doesn't have Divine it made an impression in my Sister and I. We laughed hard, and agree that Selma Blair and Johnny Knoxville ruled the movie as SEX SAINTS!!!

Killer Joe (2011) by The EFFING William Friedkin (also know for movies like The Exorcist (1973) and The French Connection (1971)): This movie is great in every way it pretends to. The acting roles where impeccable, it has one of the most shocking raping/sex scene that I had ever seen, Matthew McConaughey even admits that this movie made him go after more serious roles, and man he deserved it after making this film you see him in another context and he delivers. The plot is absolutely genius and the rhythm just flows between actions and dialogs.

Christine (1983) by The Awesome John Carpenter: This movie is surreal in all the good sense, the writing in charge of Stephen King lead us to this red Plymouth Fury that obsesses everyone that owns it, is just a great and well done horror/comedy movie. As my hubby and I recalled we had never seen a bad John Carpenter movie.

Cantinflas (2014) by Sebastian del Amo: Im guilty of saying that i watched this movie yes because of this itch i had, and also because I absolutely adore Óscar Jaenada (wink to my friend Dulce K. Palafox), this handsome actor got me since his November hippie times, and he delivers in Cantiflas, but as we say here in my country: "le quedó grande el papel"

Dracula Untold (2014) by Gary Shore: Yes, is Dracula and no is not an untold story but is a good movie, good special effects, cool wardrobe (till they portrait the 2014 times), I guess we have to understand that cinema needs to make reboots and retell stories, also they have to preserve the ownership of their characters, and that explains a lot of mistakes done with our favorites mythical creatures, superheroes, or even real life role models, that and the fact that Dracula may or may not be related (is all about how much money it brings back to the industry) to all the superheroes movies on the making that will bring all to the 2014, will see how that works but as for now, Dracula 2014 is a mhew movie.

Dinosaur 13 (2014) by Todd Douglas Miller: This is one of the most impressive documentary work I've ever seen, and well i hold dear in my heart everything that has to do with dinosaurs so watching this story unfolds and the obstacles to get Sue (the most complete and largest recovered Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil) see the light again after being stored in boxes for a big period of time right after its discovery was really hard. Is a shame to know the extreme measures of the government and the evil in people whom interfere in the work of science that pretends to share knowledge of the earth. Well, watch it is quite interesting.
