Only lovers left alive (2014) by Jim Jarmusch
My favorite movie of the year 2014 hands down, is a fucking masterpiece of a dark rock movie, there you have Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston in an amazing display of delicate and profound aestethic of characters and narrative. The whole movie you can´t help but get hipnotize by these feral yet sublime monsters.

The Double (2014) by Richard Ayoade
A punch in the guts, that's how this movie feels when you get involve with these Dostoiewskyan character, the argument that builts around what's real and what isn't gets really complex and exciting that is impossible not to engage with this cinematographic experience.

Sin City 2 A Dame to Kill For (2014) by Frank Miller, Robert Rodriguez

Interestellar (2014) by Christopher Nolan
Nolan did it again, and by that I mean he pull out all his big guns: space based storyline, Matthew McConaughey, and some sort of science involved. Is a good movie but still it has a bit of dullness about it, at least if you are gonna portrait a galaxie far away, warmholes and visual examples of the string theory let your imagination get loose and crazy, don't just flip upside down mountains or freeze a ocean.

Birdman (2014) by Alejandro González Iñárritu
I had a love/hate relationship with this movie, I'm no fan of Iñarritu's work but I respect his mind as a cinematographic director, yet I still felt and experienced this movie as a burden, the casting was incredible talented but it seem as the story didn't allow them to grow and participate, they all had a moment of fame and glory but the in-between where so heavy and used for mainstream dialogs that were a bit unnecessary. I guess the critics on the "adaptation of Carver" can go bothways, and by that I mean you can either saw it as a good subject and a meta narrative for the movie or you can take it as a insipid attempt of an adaptation, whatever the case is Birdman is a movie to be watch and talk of, is one of that rare cinematographic essay on the place of fame, is a critic on the superhero and the evolution of the stereotype, but also is a movie that tries to portrait the issues of being an actor and a creative human being.

The Night Walker (1964) by William Castle
Es una excelente muestra de un thriller bien hecho. Contar de que va la historia sería ambicionar demasiado, es de esos largos que hay que ver para creer.

Drunken Master (1978) by Woo-ping Yuen
This is one of those movies you must watch to believe any decent argument about the narrative. It´s a super good weird trip.

Insiduous (2010) by James Wan
Al inicio de la película pareciese que es un típico horror flick, con el personaje ignorado y posesiones demoníacas, pero si se le da una oportunidad legitima resulta un filme bastante interesante, y sencillo (no por ello simple) diseño de imaginería thriller/horror.

The Wicker Man (1973)) by Robin Hardy
Ok, this movie goes and goes on and on about this detectiv wwhom tries to find a missing girl, that very same girl not only is death but an important part of a ritual that takes place every year. This tradition can be only done and celebrated by a human sacrifice, and well, the story continues with a twisted plot full of awesome costumes and wardrobe, is just a real master piece.

The Big Chill (1983) by Lawrence Kasdan
Before nothing is said about this movie, we got Jeff Goldblum on it so prepare for a cinematographic experience. That been said, this film goes on about a reunion of old friend over a death of one of them, long and deep talks, a lot of weed, a bunch of wine bottles and a whole lotta love and short shorts.

The Great Beauty (2013) by Paolo Sorrentino
Well, I can't really remember what this movie was all about, I think me and my hubby watched it for good 30 minutes and then we started other activities, it had just one good phrase that I got to read because one friend of mine but well, I guess is just one of those forgetable movies.

Under The Skin (2013) by Jonathan Glazer
I love Scarlett J., and this movie has all S.J. on it, all the time, I adore the fact that she gets to play this serial killer that goes on seducting everyone, she has no preference in the victim, the whole "suppossed to be" violent act of killing them is what gets super surreal and even pleasent visually.

Babadook (2014) by Jennifer Kent
A good gore bedtime story turned into cinematographic reality.

Big Heroes 6 (2014) by Don Hall, Chris Williams
I absolutely adored this movie, is a fine work of animation with a damn good story, for once I got to watched a well executed script for animated characters, no cheesy stuff, pure and cool kid issues with a super intelligent twist in.
